Well, we finally made it to the last camp, before the final 1,200 meter ascent: Barafu Camp, at 4,600 m.
We were treated by clean, cold and thin air. Incredible views! But don't run! Walk! (or you'll run out of breath very fast!).
Last water point is about 6 hours down from us, so we can not linger here for too long.
You know that the day ahead is IT: 1,200-1,300 meters climb (on scree), starting around 11 PM, followed by a nearly 3,000 meter descent (about half of it on scree), to end around 3-5 PM (depending on your descent speed). Temperature: -20 degrees C (-4 degrees F) overnight. You get about 2-3 hours "attempted sleep" (few people actually sleep, it is hard to sleep at this altitude and the anticipation is high...) |

| Question: | I have some old LP's (vinyl records) I like a lot. I don't have a record player any longer. What can I do? |
| Answer: | There are 2 companies that can transfer your records to CD:
|
| Question: | My LP's are true audiophile quality. Will your processing degrade the audio quality? |
| Answer: | Special care is taken in order NOT to degrade the audio quality. That is why each recording is individually
analyzed, and only the corrections that act on the noise (not on the music) are applied. Even mint quality recordings
sound better after small clicks and "vinyl noise" are eliminated. If you are concerned about preserving the high
frequency content of you recording, write "Maximum High Frequency Preservation" in the Special Instructions box of the
Order Form. If your LP has absolutely no noise of any kind, use the "Transfer Only" service. More information at
