	If you come to Sorrento by boat, you are welcomed by a dramatic view of the coast. Impossible to climb fortifications protect the town. There is only one narrow, winding road to town, shared by overcrowded busses, trucks, miniature cars and a mile long single file of pedestrians, braving the vehicles and exhaust fumes.
	If you made it to the top alive, you will find a peaceful and sleepy town. Lots of cafés, city streets lined with orange trees bearing fruit, plenty of local color.
	Sorrento is the birth place of poet Tasso (1544).
