The lighting conditions, for taking such a panoramic picture of the inside of the crater, were extremely difficult. The air is very pure, very dry and thin at that altitude. That means that the sunlight is very strong where it hits an object, but the shadows are very dark, because there is very little light dispersion. The left side of the crater was bathed in extremely bright light, while the right side was in a dark shadow.

The crater "talks"! In the complete silence at the top of the mountain you can hear eerie sounds. In our world of computers that can produce any imaginable sound, I promise: the sound of the Mt. Agung volcano is like nothing else you have heard and is impossible to describe. Of course, it is caused by the wind whirring inside the crater. . . . Or is it the voice of the God of the mountain. . .
