Schonbrunn Palace - gardens, with view of Gloriette; small image

	This view is the "back yard" of the Schonbrunn Palace: beautiful gardens and Gloriette, seen in the center of this panoramic view.
	The Gloriette is a monument celebrating a victory against the Prussians (Frederick the Great's defeat at Kolin, in 1757), when the Prussians were forced to abandon Bohemia, which become part of the Austrian Empire.
	The Gloriette is a colonnade, adorned with military trophies. The position of the Gloriette is the location where the Schonbrunn Palace was planned to have been built: on top of the hill. That is a layout exactly opposite to the layout of Versailles. The idea was too "far out" to be acceptable at the time, and the Schonbrunn was built in a layout identical with the Palace at Versailles.

Panoramic pictures present a view that is impossible to capture with "normal" cameras. The very large panoramas present a view that is larger than the human normal field of view. Because of technical reasons (due to panoramic processing and exceptionally large field of view), when examined under magnification, certain elements may appear distorted or imperfect. Any such imperfections are not visible under normal viewing and will not interfere with the enjoinment of the beautiful panorama.

Question:

Can you guarantee that you will eliminate every single pop from LP or 78rpm recordings?

Answer:

	No. There are many thousands of pops and clicks on each recording. When we restore a record we have to decide how severe the pops and clicks are, and how much correction to apply to the music. On a recording that is otherwise good, except for a few pops, we prefer to apply less correction in order to preserve the liveliness of the music. This is explained on our Web site on our Noise Reduction Philosophy page.
	The budget for the restoration, at the consumer price level, is $10 (see our published prices, a "transfer only" is $19.95, a "sound restoration" is $29.95). "Hand removal" of pops and clicks is not possible at this price level. If you know that certain songs/tracks require extra restoration work, please select additional "Individual Restoration Units" (at $9.95 each).
